Intermittent fasting is very different to starving yourself. I think we’ve all met someone who is doing the extremely unhealthy and destructive practice of skipping meals, in an ignorant and desperate attempt to lose weight, without any real understanding of why this won’t work.
Before starting intermittent fasting I would say make sure you are fat adapted and fully understand LCHF. In fact, if your body is not fully fat-adapted, an intermittent fast will almost certainly have the opposite effect and just make you more hungry and make you want to binge on the sweetest, most filling foods you can get your hands on!
So how long should an intermittent fast be?
