The Low Carb Revolution with Dr. Bob

This is Doctor Robert Powell. We call him Doctor Bob.

The focus of this short video is the mechanism of Low Carb High Fat living.

Dr Bob explains that on a Low Carb High (healthy) Fat diet you eat good animal fats contained in steak, fish, cheese and cream.

Did you know that the body can run on carbs & sugar or fat? But not at the same time.

Once the body moves away from fuelling itself on carbs and sugar it will burn fat from foods, or body fat. This is why you lose weight quicker with a Low Carb High Fat diet – because as soon as there’s a chance, the body will start fuelling itself on stored body fat.

The doctor explains that on a Low Carb diet what you don’t eat pasta, bread, rice, cereals, sugar or starchy vegetables like potatoes.

He explains why it is different to a Low Calorie or calorie counting diet or plan.

Jon also quizzes the doctor about fruit juice, drinking alcohol and vitamin supplements.
