Tomato Ketchup

Did you know that there is more sugar in Tomato Ketchup than Ice cream?

Cup for cup Ketchup has 21 more grams of sugar than vanilla ice cream. 21 grams is the equivalent of 5 teaspoons of sugar.

In just one tablespoon of ketchup there is 4 grams of sugar (equivalent to one teaspoon of sugar) which is more sugar than in a chocolate chip cookie.

Now consider this, most people when they squirt on that Ketchup are actually putting more like 3 tablespoons on their food i.e. THREE teaspoons of sugar!

The recommended sugar intake for an adult is just 9 teaspoons a day and only 7 for a child.

In a 460g bottle there is nearly 26 teaspoons of sugar.

The bottom line is that your ketchup addiction is actually a sugar addiction.

And you really do not need it. It basically masks the real taste of the great food you are eating. If you want a bit of tomato sweetness with your fry up simply fry up some cherry tomatoes with your bacon and eggs.

Tomato Ketchup and other condiments are full of hidden sugars and it could be these that are contributing to your weight gain.

So, ditch the Ketchup and lose weight now.

The Prime Minister’s dice with death and time spent in intensive care has evidently changed his mind-set when it comes to […]
