Valentines Night on LCHF with Simple as Fat. Lads are you listening?

Just because you are living the SAF lifestyle it doesn’t mean you have to miss out on a romantic date night this February 14th.

And lets face it, you are not going to be able to take your partner to any kind of restaurant this year so get planning now for a night of great food and romance in the comfort of your own home!

This Valentine Menu is right on point for your Simple as Fat lifestyle and so easy to make.  So buy the roses, get the champers on ice and the Barry White on the Alexa and prepare for a great night.

For starters you cannot beat a classic Prawn Cocktail, accompanied by a glass of champagne and don’t forget you cheapskates, champers has less carbs than Prosecco so no cutting corners here lads. Recipe here.

Main course has to be Fillet Steak with a peppercorn sauce, made with double cream.

On the side, a huge green salad and a field mushroom stuffed and baked with blue cheese, thyme and garlic.

You could also push the boat out and make Celeriac Dauphinoise. To save time and stress you could always make this the night before, refrigerate it and heat it up on the night.

You can team the steak with a nice and perfectly allowable juicy red wine.

To finish you can still have chocolate, so why not try our Luxurious Chocolate mousse with a dash of double cream and a few raspberries?

If you still have room don’t forget cheese is always an option but just skip the crackers and the grapes.
